Just What I Was Looking For

"I live my life on the Web and the number of accounts and passwords I have accrued was getting out of hand. Coming up with memorable user names and passwords was a pain. I was also increasingly concerned about the security of the system I was maintaining.

I read reviews of dozens of password management programs and tried several. For me DataVault combined all of the best features I was looking for. It stores the data on my computer (I bought PC version as well as for the iPad). If provides easy syncing and backups. The program could not be simpler to use. It has an online user manual (but you will probably never use it). It generates complex passwords and remembers them for me and it allows for automatic logins which saves me time.

These features combined with the reasonable cost sealed the deal for me. I chose DataVault over more expensive programs and the many free ones available."

Multiple devices... Multiple accounts and passwords... One app.

"I am a consultant and small business owner. I not only want to manage my personal passwords and accounts, but also have passwords and logins to manage for all the different clients I work with.

My main problem was not being able to use Wi-Fi to sync between my phone and PC or Mac. Every other app I investigated wants to use Bonjour to sync with a desktop version using only Wi-Fi. Not DataVault.

I am now syncing my iPhone 3GS, my Windows PC and my iMac all with DataVault using their OTA Sync solution. I am using Mobile Me to sync and am very pleased..."

Better than 1Password Pro

"I've been using 1Password Pro for quite a while now and thought I would try DataVault based on some good reviews I've seen and BOY, am I glad I did! I like it much better than 1Password and the fact that I can wirelessly sync with my desktop, iPhone and iPad all at once wins it for me hands down! Plus it's so customizable! I highly recommend this App!"

Works perfectly, excellent support

I've been using DataVault for 3 years now. Is has always worked as expected, and not once have I lost any data. I use it on 3 PC's, an iPod, an iPhone, and now an iPad. I was particularly impressed that I didn't have to buy a new version when I got the iPad. I also appreciate the prompt response I got from their support team when I had a question. This is a well polished and solidly reliable app.

Best on iPhone, desktops sealed the deal for me

I tried a few free password managers and they were ok but I have a Windows box at work and Mac at home and I wanted my passwords synced on all of them. I liked the Datavault interface best on iPhone but the new Mac desktop sealed it for me. It's not as good as the Windows version but it gets the job done. Now I've got my passwords on all three and lovin it. I appreciate the flexibility of using templates but being able to change the field labels whenever I want to. I also like the layout and graphics of DataVault but I guess that's a bit subjective. Most important for me is having a solid product on all my devices.

Store your life in here!

I keep everything in DataVault - from passwords, to insurance info, to frequent flyer programs, to credit cards, to gate codes. Work and personal information is easy to separate as well. This application is flexible enough that I can create my own templates (I did so a number of data points I needed stored that weren't created by default) so information is organized in a way that makes sense to me. This is an invaluable part of digital life, allowing me to maintain security (i.e. separate passwords for various sites) with access to every piece of information at my fingertips without needing to go searching or worrying about prying eyes!

Works Great & Good Support

Data Vault has worked really well for me. There are lots of nice features like security timeout and maximum login attempts that you can customize. I had a question about one of the settings so I emailed support and got a response a few hours later. There is a good user guide and troubleshooting tips page on the web site but I like knowing they respond to emails. Overall two thumbs up!

Best Password Organizer!

This is a terrific organizer for storing all of your usernames, passwords, bank accounts, login information and other personal data. I was using it on a Blackberry and the transition to the iPhone was seamless. All entries migrated perfectly. Before the iPhone app was released, I tried other similar apps, and none could compare. Datavault is clean, simple and intuitive. I use it constantly. The synchronization with the Desktop App is also flawless. I highly recommend this fabulous app.

Great Work!

Use this app since years on the BlackBerry. Now also on my private iPhone. Works like a charm! Syncing with my Mac over WiFi is perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. Support is very responsive even if I needed it only once: To ask for the Mac version of the desktop app, which works great as well. Should be more apps like this in the App Store. Worth every cent!

Very Good

This program has all the features necessary to keep and protect sensitive information. The interface is clean, the desktop version is very easy to use, the synchronization works perfectly. I also greatly appreciated that all data previously in Password Plus (no iPhone version, so, goodbye...) was transfered to Data Vault in a simple and efficient way. Definitively a must for me.

Finally a quality app!!!

This is the best password manager app I have ever used. It stores and protects as promised. I purchased the iPhone app and the Windows app as well and the sync works great. It makes it easy to setup everything on your PC then sync to iPhone... Thanks

Fantastic App - One of my favorites!

I've been a user of Ascendo DataVault through 5 different BlackBerry phones, and when I switched to the iPhone, I was pleased to learn that DataVault was being developed. I beta tested DataVault extensively and was pleased with the performance of the app. Same familiar setup, same ease of use. I was nervous about WiFi syncs vs. USB syncs, but I never had a single issue with it from the first version to the current version. It always works perfectly for me. I'm very happy with this App and I thank Ascendo for creating am iPhone version of one of my most-used BlackBerry Apps. Great job, guys!

Great program

Datavault is the app i was waiting for! I tried some similar apps from different groups, but i was never satisfied. Now with Datavault i feel confident keeping all my passwords / information in the same place, i know it is safe. Also the interface is very clear , well organized, so it is very convenient to use it.i like it !

You Need This

After email, this is the most important application on my mobile device. Being able to sync with the desktop version on my PC makes it that much better. I use it on a daily basis, since I have long ago passed the point where I can remember all my userids, passwords, frequent flyer numbers, etc. If, like me, you are a previous Blackberry user, you will find the transition easy enough. I needed a little help because I was using an older version on my BB, but the customer service was amazingly prompt in responding to my email. You won't regret choosing this.

Update: I have been using this for months now and I love it even more. I am able to keep the app in sync between a laptop and a desktop via the iPhone. Sweet! I depend heavily on this app and it is very reliable.

Worth waiting for!!

DataVault for the iPhone is the BEST!! I used it on my Blackberry and my Desktop for years and loved it BUT when I switched to the iPhone 2 years ago I was horrified that it wasn't available! I tried 2 other apps in the meantime but uggg, they were not near as good as DataVault. I checked every couple of months to see if Ascendo had joined the iPhone Applications and finally one day....YAY!!! There it was!! I bought it and installed it!! I had a couple of questions regarding syncing to my desktop since my version was outdated, but I emailed Acendo and they got right back to me with specific instructions! This app is easy, user friendly, looks great and is a secure way to keep your data with you on the go. THANKS ASCENDO!!!

Best password keeper

I have used this app with Blackberry for over 2 years before I got my iphone. The transition between the Blackberry and iphone was seamless. It found all my existing data and loaded directly to my iphone. This is a great app and I fully recommend it to all who have trouble remembering all their passwords, logins, and security questions like I do. Ascendo got this one absolutely right...

Ascendo Datavault works well

Like it's Blackberry and desktop versions, Datavault works well at storing sensitive data. Syncs well with the desktop version. I would not be without it. No issues.
